This is a documentation of the opening ceremony of SeMA Biennale Media City Seoul 2016 NERIRI KIRURU HARARA and the 2016 SeMA-Hana Media Art Award ceremony, held at the Seoul Museum of Art on August 31, 2016. Among the 61 artists from 24 countries featured in the exhibition, Christine Sun Kim and Korakrit Arunanondchai were selected as joint awardees. Christine Sun Kim explores the sensory experience of sound using simple media techniques, while Korakrit Arunanondchai brings contemporary Asian identities to life by weaving elements of pop culture into his art.
