FUTURE SHOP envisions the near future, where automated mass surveillance fueled by AI is so prevalent that people are accustomed to dealing with it. The goal of this project is to create a conceptual shop in the Seoul Museum of Art, which shows possible props challenging machines, such as camouflage beauty items, mind control gadgets, robot pets, stealth clothing, etc. The shop could be a time machine, which brings people to the near future and lets them experience what they need to undergo in daily life. People have implicitly agreed to share our privacy to giant tech companies by believing that technology will make our lives better. Unfortunately, it seems like the opposite is true based on what has happened and based on what happens.
