Working in video, photography and installation, Anri Sala uses sound, movement, and narrative to call into question the means by which our cultural histories are constructed, and to suggest alternative ways of reading the world around us. An illustrious career includes solo exhibitions at museums including the Bourse de Commerce, Paris; Castello di Rivoli, Turin; Museo Tamayo, Mexico City; Haus der Kunst, Munich; and the Serpentine Gallery, London. He represented France at 55th Venice Biennale (having been awarded the Young Artist Prize at 49th Biennale), and his work has been shown at prestigious institutions around the world.
