Jawshing Arthur Liou is an artist with a background in photography, digital media, film, and journalism. His projects include a pilgrimage in the sacred mountains in Tibet and journeys through the tsunami-ravaged coastline of Japan and the U.S. Mexico border. Liou blends lens-based materials and electronic imaging to create installations that evoke mental, surreal, and spiritual spaces. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Rubin Museum, and National Gallery Victoria, Melbourne. Liou is Professor of Art and Dean of the Robert S. Geer College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University.
