Joachim Koester

Joachim Koester is a conceptual artist whose practice spans photography, video, film, and installation. He has had solo exhibitions at museums including the National Gallery of Denmark, Copenhagen; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Camden Art Centre, London; and MoMA PS1, New York. In 1997, he participated in Documenta, Kassel; in 2005, his work was included in the Danish Pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennale; and in 2013, he was awarded the Camera Austria Prize. His work can be found in the public collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Centre Pompidou, Paris; Tate Modern, London; the Reina Sofia, Madrid; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, among many others.
