Kim Tae-yong's Kokdu: A Story of Guardian Angels

2026.05.22 – 2026.05.22

Kokdu: A Story of Guardian Angels is one of literary texts in the reading performance of the 14th Seoul Mediacity pre-Biennale Inheriting the Future. Beginning with the Gugak Kokdu (2017), premiered at the National Gugak Center, Kokdu: A Story of Guardian Angels has continually transformed across media—into film in 2018, and later into an illustrated book reimagined by artist Lee Boorok in 2025. In this talk, director Kim Tae-yong reflects on the work’s evolving journey across these different media.

* The talk will be conducted in Korean only.
