“In Italy, 8:30 PM is typically when entertainment programs and football matches air on TV, or when social gatherings occur. On June 10th, our group members were likely watching the European Championship final between Italy and Turkey somewhere—it’s also our meeting time. Italian cinema of the 1960s and 1970s had a tradition of building films around a common theme through about three or four daily episodes. 20.30 is a film composed of television and cold beer, becoming either a compressed road movie or a web converging to a single point.”
