Rist’s work approaches viewers with sparkle, flamboyance, liveliness, and confidence. Having performed in bands for many years, the artist understands pop culture aesthetics and produces video artworks that counter the medium of contemporary music videos. This piece is a re-edited version of Open My Glade, which was screened in May 1999 on a Times Square billboard in New York City.
