Inter_Scenery

2012

Following his education in design, Joon Y Moon has been working on motion graphics and now focuses on visual presentations aimed at stimulating interactive narratives. Based on interactive works interfused with augmented reality and technology, Moon’s interest is to uncover the invisible world so as to analogize the coexistence between a new found world and reality.
Inter-Scenery is an interactive installation based on real-life human scale. As audience members enter the gallery space, a camera captures their silhouettes which remain imprinted on the wall which is set against the background of fo reign virtual spaces and other parts of the gallery. This work plays with the idea of enmeshing an unknown space with detached reality and virtual reality. Moon offers a chance to experience an environment that co-exists with reality and imagination, visible and invisible realities to the naked eye.
