A cultural critic. Moon Kanghyungjun studied English literature at Chung-Ang University and Seoul National University, and completed his PhD in English literature and cultural theory at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. His work explores how Korean society operates, through analyses of cultural texts grounded in disruptive discourses such as “catastrophe,” “fanaticism,” and “monstrosity”—concepts that challenge existing orders.
