Nina Fischer & Maroan el Sani

Fischer & el Sani critically reflect in their highly aesthetic films, photographs and installations the rise and fall of modernity and the intense and uncanny relationship between our contemporary society and utopian projects. Their work is a permanent pursuit of and negotiation with the transition of time. They participated in the Gwangju Biennale (1995), Manifesta 4, Frankfurt (2002), Biennale of Sydney (2002), Istanbul Biennial (2010) and have held solo shows at Stedelijk Museum Bureau, Amsterdam (2007), the Museum of Modern Art, Austin (2012) and Museo Arte Moderna, Recife (2013).
