Tamas Waliczky

Tamas Waliczky was born in 1959 in Budapest. New media artist. He started making animations at the age of nine. He then worked as a painter, illustrator and photographer. He started working with computers in 1983. In 1992, he was a resident artist at the ZKM Visual Media Institute, then a member of the Institute’s research group (1993-1997). IAMAS in Gifu, Japan chose Waliczky as artist-in-residence in 1998-99. Waliczky has been working with his partner, Anna Szepesi, since the early eighties. Anna is usually an art consultant in most of her works.
