Hong Jinhwon

Hong Jinhwon observes and intervenes in the power relations that suffuse photography and images, primarily using media such as photography, film and web programming. He has held solo exhibitions including melting ice cream (d/p, Seoul, 2021) and Random Forest (Artspace Pool, Seoul, 2018), in addition to co-creating the art space Here Now, the photo distribution platform The Scrap, and overseeing projects such as docs, a press photo-related project. Hong’s work has been introduced in numerous group exhibitions and film festivals and he participated in the 11th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, One Escape at a Time.
