This public program was organized in conjunction with the artwork Environmental Triage: An Experiment in Democracy and Necropolitics by Critical Art Ensemble (CAE), presented in the 10th Seoul Mediacity Biennale Eu Zên.

In the first workshop, together with environmental ecologist Park Ji-Hyung, participants examined the ecological status of the Han River and its major tributaries—the primary water resources for Seoul and the metropolitan area—as well as the current water management systems. Through these discussions, participants finalized the selection of three specific water bodies to be featured in the exhibition: Jungnangcheon, Cheonggyecheon, and Paldang Dam.

In the second workshop, CAE delivered a lecture on “necropolitics.” This was followed by a discussion on the environmental conditions and management methods of the three featured sites. Participants engaged in a conversation to explore potential choices for achieving both ecological preservation and social justice.
