102 is a collaboration between installation artist Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, who explores time and electricity, and young German architect Ole Scheeren. The work’s footage was recorded in Seoul, including its main sequence showing 102 students playing in a schoolyard for precisely 51 seconds. When this large screen is divided into a grid, three smaller screens appear and play exactly 30 seconds of footage—scenes from a computer game, an action movie, and visualized emotions. This gridded composition weaves together four distinct narratives while simultaneously conveying urban imagery through disparate temporal perspectives.
