All liquids increase in density as the temperature decreases. However, water is the exception; its maximum density appears at 4°C (39.2°F). We call this temperature the anomaly point at which the potential and impact of water reach their peak. When water falls or flows by the force of gravity, it creates a momentary horizontal force and optical illusion. This work enables the audience to observe how microorganisms are created based on organic substances, and marine plants and fish grow by eating those microorganisms in the process. The earth in the year 2036, shaped with wool and hair, represents an imaginary of a future in which human beings cannot control the speed of ongoing industrialization, resulting in the disappearance of the earth’s continents. While rotating in the air, this object projects images of the wind blowing through a forest and of the air showing the present-day environment. By using water as a medium, this project examines “something unknown” occurring beyond natural phenomena, and ultimately aims to find a way to pursue a way to a beautiful life through self-improvement.
