Stepping into the cubic darkroom, visitors encounter projected images from a ceiling-mounted projector, which are reflected by a mirror that redirects them onto the surface of a white table. Occurring at irregular intervals, the projection’s sound, light, and imagery correspond to the perpetual flow of consciousness by following the mind’s constant processing of countless visual stimuli. This artwork achieves perhaps the most precise expression of ambiguity in human consciousness through its meticulously calculated interplay of audio and visual elements. As one of the artist’s representative works, the masterpiece reflects his profound interest in the shadowy and intimate personal dimensions of humanity rather than its brighter aspects.
