“Stasi City,” the unofficial name for East Germany’s secret police headquarters, sits empty in the wake of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall. This multi-channel video installation, projected across gallery corners, explores the history and memory embedded in the abandoned architecture. It shows corridors, interrogation rooms, and open or closed doors while playing clicking and humming sounds generated by former surveillance equipment.
