Inspired by Jacopo da Pontormo’s 16th-century Mannerist painting The Visitation (1528–1529), this work presents two women engaged in conversation against a backdrop of distant buildings. As a gentle wind rises, a third woman approaches, reshaping their relationship. Through video technology, Viola slows down real-time movement and invites viewers to imagine the consciousness and emotions behind the women’s appearances and actions.
