Climate change is the most serious global environmental crisis. The average temperature of the earth has risen by more than 1˚C since industrialization. Unless we prevent the final temperature increase from reaching 1.5˚C, the volume of glaciers will rapidly decrease, increasing the extent of natural disasters, including famine, floods, torrential rain, and typhoon. The sea level will continue to rise, and eco-diversity will decrease, ultimately driving human life into catastrophe. However, the world cannot effectively respond to this climate crisis. For a good life, we first need to respond properly to climate change and make fundamental changes in the economic structure, transportation system, and energy system of society. Through the musical structure of rap and hip-hop, Ignito’s two songs describe the way we need to respond to climate change.
