Munhwasallong-Gong opened in 2007 in Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province with a commitment and a sense of desperation to promote the public value of culture and art. The organizers of Munhwasallong- Gong dream of a small revolution through various activities, projects and programs, including a local community art project, residency program, Northern Gyeonggi Flooded Area Project, Museum of US Army Camptown History Project and Tactile Book Making for the Sight-Impaired. They also run the cafe Space where educational programs called “Heemang Sonsurae” are hosted for the physically-challenged, the elderly and multicultural families.
