This book entitled SeMA Biennale Mediacity Seoul 2016 NERIRI KIRURU HARARA Catalogue questions how to formulate individual and common expectations out of unsought-for inheritances, be it war, disaster, poverty or displacement, and encompasses an curatorial essay by artistic director, reprinted essays exploring the Biennale’s theme, and conversations about the theme of the Biennale, accompanying photographic documentations the exhibitions and programs held at three different venues. The latter half of the book covers texts related to the records of the summer camps as artworks created by artists but also comprised of target participants including art educators and people with disabilities, conversations between the editorial board members of Biennale’s periodicals who had dealt publication as a language for producing and sharing knowledge, and indexes on the Biennale’s artworks.
