Wang Hui is professor of Literature and History at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Sent for compulsory re-education for his role in the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, Wang is a leading member of China’s new left movement and a past editor of Dushu, one of China’s most influential literary journals. His most recent book is The End of the Revolution: China and the Limits of Modernity.
