In his artistic practices, Wol Sik KIM warns against the totalitarian aim of the social community of South Korea throughout national industrialization, while illuminating the value of individuals who had been the driving force and supporters of the nation’s socio-economic development and growth. The project titled Seems Like Community, created for the Anyang Public Art Project, explored and shared the concept that individuals’ lives are more creative and independent than art. He curated the Everyday Life Art and Culture Regeneration Residency called In-Kye Market Project, a collaboration theater with people with severe disabilities called Total Difficulties. A Play, research on the community of contemporary Asian artists known as café in asia, and Siheung city’s Alternative Questions for All A3 Residency. He is currently the president of the Dasari School of Youth Cultural Curation.
