Born in 1957 in Gyeonggi, South Korea, Yoon Dongchun graduated from Seoul National University and the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Since 1988, they have held solo exhibitions at various prestigious galleries and museums, including the Kumho Museum of Art (2007), OCI Museum of Art (2011), Seonggok Museum of Art (1999), Ilmin Museum of Art (1998), International Gallery (1995), and Gallery Gana (1991). Yoon Dongchun has won several awards, such as the Gold Prize at the International Asia-Europe Biennale in 1992, and their works are part of collections in notable institutions like the New York Public Library, the British Museum, and the New Orleans Museum of Art. Since 1993, they have been teaching at Seoul National University’s College of Fine Arts.
