This performance of their debut song “KALEIDOSCOPE” marks the global launch of C-U-T, a “Swedish K-pop” boy band formed by artist Ming Wong with six students at the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm. In seeking to unpack the cultural ramifications of K-pop, the band also aims to diversify the genre by engaging with transnational and queer-friendly values that are often underreprented in the industry. For this last performance of the 11th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, curator Jiwon Lee and assistant curator Jiwon Yu will conduct the interview along with C-U-T’s performance.
