더운 열기의 열대 지방에서 만들어지는 사운드는 어떻게 들릴까요? 이러한 사운드가 다른 열대 지방이나 다른 생태 및 정치적 환경으로 움직이면 어떤 일이 벌어질까요? 제12회 서울미디어시티비엔날레 개막 행사에 초대된 유명 DJ Karllll, Ejo, NET GALA와 Yuzo는 열대의 사운드와 리듬에 담겨진 의미를 담아낸 믹스를 선보입니다. 또한 이들은 현장에서 각 지역의 라디오와 협력합니다. 본 행사는 서울커뮤니티라디오, 마닐라 커뮤니티라디오 및 오로코라디오와 같은 파트너 라디오와 협업으로 온라인에서 라이브 방송될 예정입니다.

서울시립미술관에서 행사 이후 11시부터는 이태원의 서울커뮤니티라디오에서 애프터 파티가 열립니다.

If the tropics are defined by heat then what is the sound that engenders? What happens when these sounds move across to other tropics, and other eco and political climates? The opening night event of SMB12 presents renowned local DJs Karllll, Ejo, NET GALA, and Yuzo that throw down mixes proposing what these sounds and rhythms might entail. Working also on location with collaborating radios, the evening includes broadcasts by Seoul Community Radio, Manila Community Radio, and Oroko Radio.

An after-party follows at Seoul Community Radio’s Itaewon location from 11pm, open to all.
