Space and Perception 1990-4 presents a landscape with a central horizon that divides a clear sky above and flower beds below. Like the shadow that can be seen in Space and Perception 1990-2, a long stick traverses the landscape at an angle, creating a drop shadow indicating the presence of the sun that is otherwise only perceptible in the photograph as “light.” This stick also resembles the hand of a clock extending from a center point of the earth and rotating in a circle.
